Build a Birdhouse with Mitre 10's Murray Leaning

Come and build a birdhouse with Murray Leaning from Mitre 10. There are 10 spaces per session. Booking is strictly required. For ages 7-12. Call 03 543 8500 to reserve your child's spot. Free. 

 

Two sessions on Tuesday 29 September: 1:30pm-2:30pm and 2:30pm-3:30pm. 

 

Parents, please be aware that due to distancing requirements only the tutor, staff and children will be able to be in the room during this event if we are at Alert Level 2. Safety precautions, such as contact tracing and sanitising, will occur.

Drop-in Techy Time 

This is a free drop-in session for young people who like to learn about technology. Parents and grandparents are welcome to join in the fun. All ages are welcome, though children aged 7 and over will get the most from this session. Free.

Hunt around the library for some amazing New Zealand heroes

and heroines. Our ever-popular scavenger hunt will run from Monday 28 September to Sunday 11 October. Free.

 

This event will run as planned if we are in Alert Level 2 or 1.

Teen Takeover: Escape Room

Ever wanted to have a go at an escape room? Teens aged 12+ will enjoy these code-breaking, puzzle-solving challenges. You’ll work in a small group to solve puzzles and crack codes so that you can complete the Rebel Revolt mission. 

 

This session is strictly for teens aged 12 and over. There will be opportunity for a maximum of 15 teens to experience this escape room during the time period. First in, first served! Free.

 

Thursday 1 October, 1:00pm-3:00pm
