Top Authors Talk It Up in Takaka
Monday 4 March 2013
To celebrate NZ Book Month Takaka Library is hosting two renowned Golden Bay authors - Gerard Hindmarsh and Philip Simpson.
On Tuesday 19 March at 7.30 pm both writers will discuss the highs and lows and challenges of the writing life.
Gerard is a long-time resident of the Bay and has documented aspects of local life in his books. His most recent book is Outsiders which tells the stories of some of New Zealand's fringe dwellers.
Probably best-known for his Montana Award-winning book Dancing Leaves: The Story of New Zealand's Cabbage Tree: Ti Kouka, Philip will be talking about his eagerly anticipated new book Heartwood: Totara in New Zealand’s Natural and Cultural History.
Come and listen to the inside story on what it’s like to be a writer in New Zealand.
