Travellers Share Global Cycling Adventures
Thursday 27 August 2015
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to take an extended cycling trip, you can find out at Richmond Library on Tuesday 8 September when Jana Halloun and Alex Gabriel deliver a multi-media presentation about their global cycling adventures.
For the past two and a half years the two German travellers have been on a cycling adventure from Germany to Indonesia. They have covered more than 15,000 kilometres, and visited more than 22 countries.
Now they want to share their experiences and adventures with the public.
"While travelling by bike we explore the world’s diversity by getting to know its amazing people and beautiful nature. Also, we like to gather good ideas, positive experiences and life philosophies from the people we meet,” Jana says.
Travelling by bike is ideal, Jana says, because “it is environmentally friendly, and we can travel at a slow enough speed to be as close to people and nature as possible. We also like being independent and able to travel off the beaten track".
Jana and Alex’s free presentation will be held at Richmond Library at 7:00pm on Tuesday 8 September 2015. Bookings not required.
