New Art Space at Takaka Library

Thursday 29 November 2012

Takaka artists can now exhibit their work at their local library.

An art display wall on the south wall of the library accommodates up to 10 paintings and has already attracted lots of attention. In fact, artists have immediately seen the potential of the space and pre-booked until June 2013.

On show right now are paintings by Madelene Cian-Seren, winner of the Supreme Award at this year’s BayArt competition.

Future exhibits include photographs by Jock Harrison and works by Lorraine Polglase and Reg Turner.

With hundreds of visitors a day, the library is a perfect venue for artists wanting to get their work out there and build recognition.

If you’re interested in booking a show at either Takaka or Richmond Library, contact your local library.
