NaNoWriMo at Richmond Library

Friday 26 October 2018

Throughout November we will be celebrating National Novel Writing Month at Richmond Library with weekly Come Write In sessions and three author talks.

Bring your writing materials and Come Write In Richmond Library's Constance Barnicoat room from 11.00am-2.00pm every (or any) Thursday in November. It is a great opportunity to buckle down and get writing in the company of other writers.

Three authors at different stages in their writing careers will also be giving talks in November. Cliff Fell is an award-winning poet and author who currently lectures in the Arts programme at NMIT. Cliff will talk about his published works and writing process from 1.00pm-2.00pm on Tuesday 20 November.

Amy Hindley, author of Not a Leg to Stand On will be speaking from 12.00pm-1.00pm on Tuesday 27 November about being born with spina bifida, abandoned, having her legs amputated - and then finding the strength to write about it all with humour.

Finally, Heather Thomas will be speaking from 12.00pm-1.00pm on Friday 30 November about the tips and tricks she uses for "telling tales on her family" - a process of writing down the family stories that might otherwise be forgotten.

All events are free and bookings are not required.
