Meet Moutere Author Emma Stevens
Thursday 23 April 2015
It’s literally half a world away, but from her new home in the mild climes of the Moutere, Emma Stevens has written about her life in Northern Alaska.
Emma will talk about her book,Walking on Ice at the Richmond Library later this month.
Her story tells of how an online relationship between a man in the Arctic circle and a woman in Otago led to a life changing decision.
Collection Services Librarian Ruth Lawley says Emma’s Alaskan experiences, which led to her decision to write the recently published book, made her a popular speaker. “Our readers really enjoy hearing about life in other parts of the world, especially areas that are more remote.”
You can hear Emma share her story, her journey and the book at the Richmond Library at 5.30pm on Thursday 30 April 2015.
Entry is free.
