Listen To Your Book

Tuesday 23 June 2020

Did you know Tasman District Libraries have a great selection of audio books – books that you listen to instead of reading? There is every type of story you could imagine – such as thrillers, romances, true stories, humorous tales and biographies, as well as stories for children. They are all read by professional actors, and most are the full unabridged version of the printed book.

They are great to listen to while doing other things, or just to curl up in a cosy armchair and be transported to another world. They are also excellent to listen to on a long car journey, as they make the miles just fly by.

All our libraries have audiobooks on CD which you insert into a CD player.

We also have e-Audiobooks which you can download from our website for free.

  1. Go to
  2. Click on e-Library
  3. Click on e-Audio and e-Books
  4. There are 2 options for you to choose from, and both have different books – Libby provided by Overdrive; and BorrowBox provided by Bolinda.

You can use a PC, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. Just download the e-Audio to your device or access them via an app. The apps are available from The App Store or Google Play.

Time to get started!
