Library Catalogue Changes on the Way

Monday 1 July 2013

Searching for library books and placing holds is about to get a whole lot easier and faster.

On Wednesday 3 July, Tasman District Libraries will be moving to a new-look catalogue.

"Access is still via the library website," says Digital Services Librarian Nick Allred.

"But once you're in the catalogue you'll move seamlessly between looking for items and placing holds. Finding what's new in the library will also be more straightforward with improved search options for customers."

Customers who regularly use the library's digital content for articles and research will find that content via a different route. Up till now the library's digital resources have been included when searching the catalogue. These resources will now be separated out.

To search for articles and other online content customers will simply click on a digital content link on the catalogue homepage. E-books and PressDisplay newspapers are also instantly available by clicking on their links.

Check it out after 3 July.
