GIF It Up!

Thursday 29 October 2015

Richmond Library is offering a fun opportunity for school students to create something wonderful, strange, amusing, cute or quirky from our collection of historic photographs.

In this free two-part workshop you'll learn how to make GIFs and animations. The workshop runs on 9th and 16th November from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and is open for 10 to 18 year olds.

Just so you know, GIF's are little endlessly looping delights of amusement.  There is a competition on using heritage material and there are already a lot of crazy and wonderful entries to check out at the GIF It Up website  http://gifitup2015.tumblr.com/

The New Zealand school student prizes are sponsored by Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand. There are 5 x $50 Mighty Ape vouchers for Years 1–8 and 5 x $50 Mighty Ape vouchers for Years 9–13 up for grabs. So well worth registering for the workshop and giving it a go!

Register at Richmond Library.
