School students in Tasman are set to benefit as Tasman District Libraries joins AnyQuestions? Uia Nga Patai?
AnyQuestions?/Uia Nga Patai? is an online chat service that helps New Zealand school students find answers to their homework questions.
Staffed by skilled and friendly librarians throughout the country, this term nine librarians from Tasman, Nelson and Marlborough libraries are joining the team.
Assistant librarian Louise Gribbon said it was an exciting new service.
“It’s a great way to help children and teens develop their information literacy skills, as well as guiding them to useful online resources,” she said.
"AnyQuestions is especially convenient for Tasman's rural students, as they can access real-time homework help via the internet.
"It works with any computer, smartphone or other device, which means students don’t have to physically come into the library."
AnyQuestions is open from 1pm to 6pm weekdays and students can also book a time to chat in te reo Māori if they wish.
