Focus on the Environment

Tuesday 27 August 2019

Throughout September, Richmond Library is focusing on the environment.

From the really big global environmental issues like climate change, to the creatures we can see in our backyard – such as Tasman’s freshwater fish, and whio, New Zealand’s blue duck - the talks taking place at Richmond Library cover a wide variety of topics.

Have you ever wondered what climate change actually is? Jenny Easton can answer your questions on Tuesday 3 September from 12.00pm-1.00pm. Easton will be answering the questions ‘How do Greenhouse gases heat the earth, why does the extra heat matter, and what can we do about it?’

Next up on Monday 9 September, Trevor James will be talking about Tasman’s freshwater fish, and revealing the latest discoveries of the cryptic creatures of our waterways.
