Family History Month

Thursday 29 July 2021

This August is Family History Month and Richmond Library is celebrating with some tasty traditions and events.

Do you have a family recipe you are willing to share with others?  Why not add your family recipe to our tasty traditions display.  Bring a copy of a traditional family recipe, including a sentence or two why the meal is meaningful to your family and we'll add it to our display to share.  The display will be running from 10 -31 August.

Family History Friday is a monthly drop-in session for exploring local and family history resources with a specialist library staff member.  Friday 27 August 10.30am - 12.00pm in the Richmond Library Research Room.

We are also running an introduction to Ancestry computer workshop on the 12 August, 10.00am - 12.00pm.  In this workshop you will learn tips and tricks for searching Ancestry, how to view Public member trees and record collections for New Zealand and the UK.  Bookings for this workshop are limited so contact Richmond Library to book your spot.
