Dare to Read
Thursday 3 December 2015
Dare to Read, Tasman's summer reading experience is a little different this year.
After many years of being so popular and children missing out we have changed the programme so more children can take part. The new programme is more flexible and the only two requirements to enrol in the programme are that kids are 5-12 years old and are Tasman District Library members.
There are no restrictions on the number of children that can take part and we will have a longer period for registration and check ins.
"Do you like a dare?", asks Childrens and Young Adult Librarian Lucy Brunwin. "This programme is a great fun way to explore the resources at our libraries and to maintain or improve your child's reading".
Registrations open on the library website at 9.30am Monday 7 December and will remain open until 6.00pm Friday 8 January 2016. All children will need to do to complete the programme is read a minimum of three books, complete at least three tasks and report in three times between Monday 14 December and Friday 29 January 2016.
Dare to Read is running in all our Tasman Libraries and you can even complete some check ins online.
Will you Dare to Read this summer?
