Crafty Events to Brighten Winter

Winter is the perfect time of year to focus on a craft project or two, and to get you inspired Richmond Library is running a series of craft events during July. 

Highlights include a workshop with textile artist and jewelller Deborah Walsh, and a practical demonstration from John Shaw of The Centre for Fine Woodworking. 

"We’re thrilled to host the Centre in the library,” says Promotions Assistant Tania Norfolk. 

“They are the only independent woodworking and furniture making school in New Zealand." 

There will also be a craft competition for adults and free craft demonstrations. 

The library has a fantastic range of craft books and magazines available to borrow to hep you improve your skills. From pottery to felting, wood-turning to weaving, knitting to toy making, we have the material for you.
