Art Appreciation at Richmond Library

Monday 18 November 2019

Join us at Richmond Library from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Tuesday 26 November for our fourth edition of How To Look At Art with The Suter Art Gallery’s Curator Sarah McClintock. Sarah will be bringing a mystery item from the Suter’s permanent collection to Richmond Library for one hour of discovering the who, when, how, why of the art piece.

With Sarah’s expert guidance, you’ll learn to see beneath the surface of the art work and start to understand the context of its creation. Previous art works in this series of talks have included pieces by New Zealand art luminaries Toss Woollaston and Frances Hodgkins.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in art – whether you’re an art buff from way back, or newly interested, there will be something here for you.

It’s free and everyone is welcome. Bookings are not required.
