Ambition, Escape, Reinvention

Wednesday 11 November 2020

Nelson-based author Alexandra Tidswell has written an extraordinary book of one woman’s ambition, escape and reinvention in nineteenth century New Zealand.

Come along to Alexandra Tidswell’s talk about her debut novel, Lewisville, at Richmond Library on Tuesday 17 November from 1.00pm-2.00pm.

Lewisville is based on real people and events from Tidswell’s ancestry and provides a glimpse into the experiences of the men and women who migrated to New Zealand in search of a new life.

Alexandra Tidswell’s author talk is followed by a meeting of the Richmond Writing Group from 2.00pm-3.00pm.

Both events are free and everyone is welcome.

Cash book sales of Lewisville will be available.
