A Library for the World's Children

A new multi-language library is opening new doors for children.
The International Children's Digital Library (ICDL) provides free access to high-quality digital children's books from more than 40 countries and in 55 languages,
The mission is to promote tolerance and respect for diverse cultures by providing access to the best of children's literature in the world.
There are books in te reo Māori, Arabic, German, Thai, Mongolian and Spanish to name just a few of the languages available. You can browse by age, genre, award winning, fairytales and folktales plus heaps more.
"I just wanted to let you know that the link to the digital library was great", says Susi, a Takaka mum originally from Germany. "My daughter got straight away into reading!"
Covering an age range from 3 to 13 and with cutting-edge interactive children's computer design, ICDL offers a wonderful opportunity for readers of all ages.
