A Ghoulish Gathering at Richmond Library

Thursday 24 October 2013

A hair-raising after-hours event involving ghouls and zombies is being held at Richmond Library at the end of this month.

Catering for 8-12 year olds, this fun event encourages kids to dress up as their favourite scary character, listen to a few spooky stories and join in some ghastly games. There will be a scavenger hunt for clues around the library and participants can even be zombiefied or vampirised.

“This event is a fun and safe alternative for children whose parents might not want them to go trick or treating,” says Tasman District Libraries Manager Glennis Coote.

"Our ‘ghoulish gathering’ means they can still partake in the celebrations on the last day of October."

“We’re trialling more events for this ‘tween’ age-group and we’re looking forward to using a few surprises from technology and books throughout the evening.”

Entry is free, but seats are limited. Phone 03 543 8500 to book your place for “A Ghoulish Gathering”, 7-8pm, Thursday 31 October at the Richmond Library.
