Dementia Expert to Visit Richmond Library

Thursday 15 September 2016

Next week, Richmond Library will be hosting one of New Zealand’s foremost experts in dementia and clinical care, Professor Ngaire Kerse.

Professor Kerse will deliver a talk on Falls and Dementia: Keeping Upright with Memory Problems at the library. There will also be a question and answer session where members of the public can ask Professor Kerse any dementia related questions.

Collections Librarian Ruth Lawley says, “We’re very excited to be welcoming Professor Kerse to Richmond Library. She is a real advocate for older people and is hugely knowledgeable in her field. It’s a great opportunity for members of the community who are concerned about the ageing process, and about dementia, to ask questions of an expert.”

The talk will take place at Richmond Library on Wednesday 21 September, from 1.30pm-2.30pm. To book, phone Richmond Library 03 543 8500.
