Find out How To Look At Art at Richmond Library

Monday 11 February 2019

Looking at art might seem like a simple matter of engaging the eyes with something beautiful; but The Suter Art Gallery’s Curator Sarah McClintock reveals in her How To Look At Art talk that there’s much more to it than that.

"There’s so much more to an art work than how it looks," Sarah says, "Once we start thinking about why the art work was made, for whom and when, in what context, a whole new world of art appreciation opens up."

Sarah will be bringing an item from The Suter Art Gallery’s permanent collection to Richmond Library for a special edition of The Suter’s popular How To Look At Art talks.

Join us at Richmond Library from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Tuesday 19 February for this exciting journey into understanding and appreciating art.

It’s free and everyone is welcome. Bookings are not required.
