Books Into Movies in 2017
Monday 16 January 2017
Ever watched a film and then discovered it was based on a book?
Do you prefer to read the book before you'll consider watching the movie?
You'll find a number of books that are due to be made into movies this year at your local library.
Among them are Herman Koch's thriller The Dinner, Jason Matthews' spy thriller Red Sparrow starring Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton and Stephen King's sci-fi western horror The Dark Tower.
Other movies in the pipeline are WWII drama The Zookeeper's Wife, based on Diane Ackerman's book of the same name and Charles Martin's plane crash survival drama The Mountain Between Us.
Finally, for the kids, Dan Pilkey's hugely popular Captain Underpants is due for film release in June 2017.
Check out the book before you head to the movie. Imagine the locations and characters for yourself before you see what the sets and actors look like in the movie version.
