Book Art Competition

Friday 17 March 2017

We’re always told to treat books with great care – we especially shouldn’t draw on them, fold the pages, spill anything on them, damage the cover or get sand inside.

Well now Richmond Library is giving you the chance to go wild and artistically enhance a book!

Enter our Book Art Competition and we’ll give you an old library book to fold, cut, twist, rip, glue, bend, collage, paint – do whatever you want to! Entries are open from 27 February until 26 April.

All entries will be put on show in the glass display cabinets at Richmond Library from 26 April until 6 June.

This competition is open to people aged 16 years and up.

Prizes generously donated by Take Note Takaka, Impressions Picture Framers and Art Supplies and PaperPlus Richmond will be awarded to the winning entries in three categories.

Visit Richmond Library to pick up your entry form and an old library book to transform into a work of art.

Enquire at Richmond Library for terms and conditions.
