Bailey's Women's Prize Shortlist Announced

Wednesday 3 May 2017

The Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction is awarded annually for the best original full-length novel written in English by a woman of any nationality.

Formerly known as The Women's Prize for Fiction (2013) and The Orange Prize for Fiction (1996 – 2012), the Bailey's Prize is one of the United Kingdom’s most eminent literary awards.

After awarding the prize at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 7 June this year Baileys will be stepping down as sponsor. The prize will no doubt have a new name in 2018.

This year six nominations for the shortlist were announced 3 April 2017 and the Tasman District Libraries holds copies of them all.
